Firstly I would like to thank my first ever violin teacher Mr Piotr Langos. He was not only my violin teacher in primary school but also my mentor; he inspired me and taught me how to be a complete human being. I believe that because of him, I became not only a musician but also able to balance this with my other passions and hobbies, such as aviation and business. He also gave me the motivation to become financially free in order to travel the world and not to be afraid of changes. He was my mentor long after I finished my 8 years in primary school, where he taught me the art of violin. I would also like to thank my high school violin teacher, Mr Janusz Mrozik, for giving me tough lessons and changing my fingering and positions almost every week. During my academic studies, I was very lucky to be in a class of Professor Piotr Tarcholik. It was an inspiring experience, and I was guided gently so that I didn’t feel overwhelmed. It was a difficult time in my life and he helped me get through it. Thank you for believing in me, Piotr!!! I am also grateful to Professor Maciej Negrey for showing and sharing his passion for music. He showed me how to speak and think about music and maintain the excitement. I was in high school when I first “ illegally” attended his lectures at the Academy of Music in Krakow. To Mr Andrew Haveron, my current (2017 - 2019) violin teacher and mentor, I would like to extend my thanks for showing me how to totally understand and think about music and to get the most from practice time. It is amazing how much I grew thanks to you, Andrew, in such a short period of time. I would like to thank Professor Ian Bofinger for being patient and supportive.

I would also like to thank all the people from over many centuries whose work resulted in my understanding so many complex social and educational aspects. When reading an amazing work or book, I am often impressed by how lucky I am to be able to familiarise myself with the knowledge that authors and scientists, often spent 20 or 30 years to gather. Reading their work has added to my experience and has helped me move forward to the next level of understanding. Finally, I must express my profound gratitude to my parents and my wife for providing me with unfailing support and continuous encouragement throughout the process of researching and writing this thesis. This accomplishment would not have been possible without them. Thank you.
