The beauty of string instruments is that while the ‘family’ is the same, each and every instrument feels, sounds and plays differently.

If you want your child to try more than one instrument before your purchase, or you're not quite ready to invest in a purchase yet, we have a rental option.

With generous terms and excellent quality instruments, our rental program is ideal for the new beginner or those wishing to indulge their desire to learn a string instrument. Be quick to take advantage of our rental program as stocks are limited. We do offer a waiting list if stocks are unavailable.

*This is not a rent-to-buy program. Strings Embassy offers a limited number of hand-selected instruments for rental customers. However we offer an option in the first 3 months of renting, you can decide to buy a new instrument or the one you are renting and your payments will be credited towards the purchase. This offer is valid only in the first 3 months of renting the instrument.

Great Terms
​
Only a 3 or 1-month minimum contract to begin with then, if you chose to continue, your agreement is billed on a month to month basis. You may change instrument size at any time during your contract (subject to availability).

If you are renting, all the COSTS UP TO THREE MONTHS you can transfer towards purchase of the instrument.
​
TRADE IN options included. Once you need to upgrade the size or you are after better model and sound , you will be able to trade in your old instrument less service fee. Instrument needs to be in reasonably good condition. Service Fee is $ 220 for violins, $ 350 for Violas and $ 550 for Cellos.

Exceptional Quality
​
All our instruments are professionally set up and come with quality strings and bows. Each instrument is inspected, played and tonally adjusted before being accepted into our rental program.

Stay Protected
​
We will fix any manufacturing faults free of charge (excludes strings and bow hair). Accidental damage such as knocks, drops and falls are not covered.

Great Rental Extras
​
Friendly advice and helpful customer service. Luggage tag and cleaning cloth included with your rental. Free tuning, adjustments and servicing during the rental contract.

To rent an instrument from us, you must bring the following items with you to our store for your booked appointment:
- A current driver’s licence, Australian identity card or passport. If using your passport, we will also require proof of address such as a utility bill.
- A valid Australian MasterCard or Visa credit card.
​
For purchases/ rentals and lessons in our store, you can pay via bank transfer, direct debit or pay by card online (card fees added). ​
Late invoice payments will incur a late payment fee of 10% annually.
